Karen Welch is the founder of Presence Leadership. During her career she has worked with senior managers experiencing positional loneliness and the inevitable sense of vulnerability inherent in roles responsible for complex systems. She supports Executives in finding their own rich source for personal transformation within their innate natures. The simple act of focused attention amplifies our presence and creates a wide arc of beneficial influence for change and sustained growth.

Karen has over 20 years experience of initiating organizational transformation through realizing untapped potential in leaders. She has specialized in developing strategies and skills for increasing organizational cohesion, reducing conflict and improved decision making. She works as a Change Consultant, Leadership Coach, Master Facilitator and Trainer for the public and private sectors in the UK and USA.

Karen sees her role as joining you on a stage of your journey, offering you a bridge between your current reality and your hopes/dreams/aspirations. Her main interest is in helping people and organizations to explore and move beyond whatever is shadowing or eclipsing their radiance.

Her integral approach brings together her background as an Organizational Development Consultant, with leading-edge personal growth methodologies from a number of different fields. Her exploration of eastern perspectives for personal evolution, combined with western perspectives for achieving Presence, are the foundation for her present work with clients. Karen’s passion and expertise is in helping leaders manage transitions in complex environments.

Karen has worked in central and local government, health sectors, the media, the oil industry, retail and for a range of not-for-profit organizations in the UK, the USA and Africa for over 20 years She completed study in the MSc in Change Agent Skills and Strategies at Surrey University and has additional professional training in executive and team coaching, leading action learning sets and group facilitation. Karen has also designed and led numerous consulting projects and leadership programmes.

Over the years Karen has created opportunities to work with a creative network of associates who are exploring complementary learning perspectives. Associate companies are based in London, Scotland and Dallas (USA) providing a rich resource for major projects.
